Highland walks are a great way to explore the area and take in the breathtaking scenery while at Fort William. It is a 1.5 mile walk where you can enjoy seeing local wildlife as well.
The Ben Nevis Distillery is one of the oldest in Scotland which was established in 1825. It’s situated at the foot of Ben Nevis. If you are older than 18, you can get a guided tour of the distillery.
Built by Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, Neptune’s Staircase is a series of eight incredible engineering lochs along the Caledonian Canal. It is the longest staircase loch in Britain which can lift boats up to 64ft high.
West Highland Museum is the best place to visit if you want to learn about the local history. Founded in 1922, it’s one of the oldest museums in the highlands.
Built by the Comyn Family, the ruins of 13th century old Inverlochy Castle is one of the best preserved castles of its age in Scotland. Its located just outside of the center of Fort William along the banks of the River Lochy.
Better known as the Hogwarts Express, the Jacobite Steam Train is described as being one of the most scenic railway journeys in the world. Starting from the base of the highest mountain in Britain, The Jacobite passes some beautiful villages in West highland.
